Do you offer payment plans? We do! Registration for a member with a payment plan can be done at one of our in person registrations or online now.
Is there a mandatory fundraiser? Yes. Our lottery ticket Fundraiser is mandatory for each family. (There will be other voluntary ones.) The lottery amount is collected at registration. Once the lottery tickets are distributed mid season, you may sell them to family and friends to offset the cost and give the chance of winning to your family and friends. You do not need to be present to win.
How much contact is in Flag? Flag football has limited contact. The offense and defensive lines have minimal blocking used as a way to teach players to be comfortable with blocking in the correct manner. Obviously there could be occasional instances of players bumping into one another or knocking each other over as in all sports but the coaches in the ICFL strive to have the kids master the pulling of the flag!
Where do the Mohawks Practice? We will be practicing on the field off of 8th St in Pennsburg behind Tosco’s. Always be sure to park next to the softball fields and not in Toscos parking lot!
What nights are Practice? For the summer (before school starts) Flag & cheer are 3 days a week Monday, Tues, Thurs) and Tackle is 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). Once school starts it will be Flag & cheer 2 days a week (Tues and Thurs) and Tackle 3 days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs). Hours to be determined.
What if my players can’t make all the practices? Not a problem. Especially in the Flag League. Get to what you can as the balance between school and football is harder to achieve at younger ages.
What makes the Mohawks stand out as an Organization? The Mohawks have been the leading Football and Cheer organization in the Upper Perk Valley for 15 years. This year marks our 16th year! Our organization is constantly looking to improve and just recently added 7 new board members! We are working hard to improve communication, the "football family" feel, and working hard to help keep costs as low as possible. We are improving our players experience by adding items on and off the field. Fundraisers like our Poker night, pizza kit sales, Apple bees breakfast to name a few, add on field items like our new practice field and our new sleds to name a few! Our coaches are attending clinics, online training and sessions to improve their knowledge and new ways to keep the players in better and safer positions. Coaches are also encouraged and notified of opportunities to further their education during the off season. We continue to get together off the practice field as an organization at events like the Pep Rally to kick off the season, and our End of year Pot luck celebration.
Where are our home games? We play our home games at the Upper Perkiomen High School field.
How far are our away games normally? All of our away games are against ICFL teams. This includes many teams the kids play once in middle school and highs school. Boyertown, Coventry, Norristown, North Penn, Perk Valley, Phoenixville, Pottsgrove, Pottstown and Springford & Great Valley.
When is the Season Schedule released and what days do we normally have games? Our Game Schedule is usually released towards the end of August. We usually play on Saturdays but sometimes it could be a Sunday, as some of the opposing organizations can only play on Sunday's. Season will end with a home game at our Turkey Bowl. (Date TBD.)
Where are the equipment fittings located? The fittings are located at our equipment location at 1635 State Street. East Greenville, PA. Signs will be on the road on day of fittings.
Do the Mohawks coaches have to have background checks? Yes. All of our coaches, team parents, board members and any of our volunteers are screened for background checks and must be approved. Coaches, Team Parents & board members will have a Mohawks badge and lanyard at the fields.
Where can I get Mohawks Spirit Wear? During the season, an online store will open for spirit wear purchases! Items are then delivered to practice. Some spirit wear is also available for purchase at Mohawk events!

Your tackle players are given a helmet, game jersey (fee will apply), practice jersey, shoulder pads, game pants with pads, and practice pants with pads and a mouth guard. All players should purchase and have a protective cup. Cheerleaders will be given: for girls - a shell top, skirt, bloomers, crop top, pom poms and bow boys - pants & shirt.
How Can I Help\Volunteer? With coaches being ahead of time how should we add that in? Our organization has many ways to help. Some examples are team parents, helping with the chains on game day, committees, fundraising opportunities, snack stand and more! All you need to do is keep an eye on communications from your coach!
What are the Mohawks doing to keep our players safe on the field? All coaches are certified in Heads Up Football by USA Football. "Heads up Football is the safer way to practice and play. USA Football has worked with leaders in both medicine and sport across the country to create a full-featured program that any league or school can use to address key safety issues - and ensure that every coach understands and knows how to implement each component of the program.” - USA Football. What does that mean for you? New and better ways to teach players to tackle, block and react than when we played. Along with this training that every coach must take, the formats of practice and drills are also changing to keep players safe. The Mohawks also get their helmets reconditioned and are rotating in newer equipment to replace the older ones. Our organization strives for player safety at all times.
Where are our Board Meetings? Mohawks Board Meetings are at the Meeting Room at The East Greenville Firehouse located at 401 Washington St, East Greenville, PA 18041. They are usually the 2nd Wednesday of the month but that could change depending on the month. Our Calendar section will have the exact dates for you!
